Khitibiya means “The Hunt,” a dangerous multi-day expedition into the depths of the Aidanese jungle for the purpose of hunting beasts. About 20 hunters are lead by the village’s hunt-leader (Rafeal, in this case), and they bring home beasts for meat, fur, and other supplies.
Its counterpart is Yathabiya, “The Gathering,” where fruits, nuts and other organic materials are collected from the jungle for the village. Both regular expeditions are crucial to Aindanese life.
I think this is my favorite page so far! LOVE the lay-out, all the detail, and that we get to see other Aidans (?). Also, Rafi’s very sexy in that top panel. Outfit details for the win! *hearts*
Whoa! I like the effect of this page, with Rafi’s fancy text. Also, Khitibiya, Yathabiya and Sveara he; you put so much detail into their culture and language, I feel like this is Mass Effect. Which you should take as a compliment, because Mass Effect is the best game ever. Also, it was only a matter of time before we saw a fur bikini. Good thing it wasn’t on Rei. :P
