Maybe you noticed the art style seems a bit different on this page? I think it’s the only page that made it to the final draft still containing lineart from the “first” Joyride. That is to say that the art in this page SOMEHOW survived the dozens of complete Act 1 drafts I drew for the refresh.
I’m a bit nervous of throwing in a page with older art, but I modified/updated it slightly to take the edge off, and I figure I can touch it up later D: I didn’t want to completely cover up ALL the old art from the “first” Act 1, for reasons that are probably stupid… I guess you could call it sentimental? :D

Didn’t notice the different art at all ~ :D
Love the pout in the last panel.
The art for this page looks great to me (nor is there anything wrong with sentiment…). If there is a discontinuity in the style, it is sufficiently subtle that I am not sure I am seeing it, even when comparing directly to the previous page. Of course, I am not an artist, so I am not trained to analyse artistic styles; but still…
Wow! Rei looks really cute here!!
BY THE THOUSANDS!!!11 You know, when I first looked at this page, it seemed like there was something different about it, but I really wasn’t sure WHAT it was at all! And still, even after you telling us it’s older, I still wouldn’t say that. Perhaps it’s just a different bunch of expressions than you usually use these days? Or the lack of BG? IDK. They do look particularly adorable here though! Rei seems to have lost her shirt int he first panel though. Yeah. Um. I’m in love with her hand in the second panel D:< Love.
You’re the best! Take care.
Aww, Miki’s all “Do want Butterfinger :<" — so adorable! :D
…on a somewhat-off-topic note, I notice that most (if not all) of my comments thus far have been about Michael. I'm not a creepy fanperson, really! D:
Yeah, I can kinda see the difference in style, mostly with Rei’s face.
…I really like the skin folds in her hand in the second panel. 8D
