Hand writing the text certainly takes longer, but I like it. It feels more like an organic part of the art, so it’s actually enjoyable.
A reader, Sabreur, commented on the last page saying the heart-shaped speech bubble was terrifying (GOOD, THAT WAS MY PLAN :D). Well, it was that page which made me realize I should hand-draw the bubbles and text (as opposed to my past method of using the circular selection tool and fonts). When I was planning it, in the draft stage, I was all “THAT SPEECH BUBBLE NEEDS TO BE HEART SHAPED. OH YES.” which, of course, required hand-drawing the bubble… and, well, things went downhill from there. :7

Eeeee I like this comic ;w;! <3 *Readread*
Heh. Rei’s so taken aback, she’s supporting herself on the cave wall, whereas Michael is confused as to why anyone would ask that question. I wonder if she’s going to pinch herself to see if this really is a dream. The faded text in the last panel, indicating that Michael’s speech is in the background, is a nice touch.
Haha, I wonder if she would ask that, since it would be my first question. 8D
Miki hasn’t hit puberty. 8D …What? Someone had to say it. XD His confused face on the second panel is the cutest thing so far too.
The hand-drawn speech bubbles with hand-written text do indeed look right, appropriate, one with the style of the art; and the text is not just legible, but clearly legible, while retaining the hand-written flavor. And it allows variations in text size, style, and emphasis that helps bring to life what the characters are saying.
Did I mention that I love the rainbow effect in the banner, with the intricate vegetation?
The “Baroo?” made me chuckle.
XD I love Michael so much! And it’s super cool to learn facts about his species~
